Curvy Costumes

Boo morning fashionistas. With Halloween only two days away, I've decided to write about costumes. Fashion and costumes can SOMETIMES go hand and hand. When we look at a magazine or in the window of our favorite retail shop we see looks that are put together almost like a costume. This Halloween I want to merge fashion and costumes into one and put a sexy spin on it.

There are so many curvy woman who are afraid to reveal their curves and this is ludicrous. The curve of a woman's body is one of the things that men love most about women and we shouldn't be afraid to flaunt our curves especially in front of our man. How many of you have ever dressed up in a costume for your man? Well, I have and he and I both love it. I've been everything from a Police Officer to a Catholic School Girl and I am telling you that this is something that every woman should try. Now don't get me wrong, the first time I did it I laughed a lot because I hadn't found my comfort zone in being a different woman. After trying a few different costumes I became a pro and now I know how to let my "Sasha Fierce" out and she feels amazing. If you've never done this then use this Halloween as an excuse to start and release the "Sasha Fierce" in you. Here are a few places where I've purchased costumes that are guaranteed to make this Halloween memorable for you and your man!

Fully Intamite (my favorite), Torrid, Yandy.

Happy Halloween

Black Carpet Fashion Show

Good morning loves. I've taken a small break from the blog but now it's back to fashion. This past friday Muah Collection was a featured vendor at The Black Carpet Runway Fashion Show at the Michelle Ballroom here in Chicago. The designs were amazing and the entertainment was great as well. The show was hosted by Chicago's own WGCI radio host Demi Lobo. She was also one of the performers in the show and she rocked the house with three hot songs including her new single 'You should take my picture'. Demi was smitten by a black leather studded satchel that Muah Collection showcased at the show. The bag found a home with her that night! Stay tuned for more fashion shows and trunk shows from Muah Collection.

Bangin' Bracelet for a Basketball Wife

What's up curvy girls? Yay, today is Follow Fashion Friday! Celebrities seem to always stay fly day in and day out. We can pick up a magazine or flip the channel on the TV and there they are posing for the camera looking fabulous...So why can't we look as fab as the celebs? Is it because our bank accounts have less figures than theirs? The answer is no. A true follower of fashion knows that in order to create a Hollywood look you have to do some leg work like searching the Internet, window shopping, comparing deals, and even thrifting to complete the look without breaking the bank.

Today we're following Jennifer Williams from BET's 'Basketball Wives'. Jennifer is married to former NBA player Eric Williams, a principal owner of Flirty Girl Fitness, and co-founder of the Project Save the World Foundation. Check out the look that Jennifer Williams put together for the 'Basketball Wives Reunion'. The gold bracelet she's wearing is bangin' and probably costs an arm and a leg at a Miami boutique. Guess what ladies? Muah Collection has this same bracelet in gold and silver for only $20. What a deal? I've done some of the "leg work" for you and your celeb look is almost complete now it's time for you to do the rest. Have fun...

Addicted to Thrifting

I think all of you fashionistas can relate when I say that I'm a shopping addict. I realized this one day I was driving down the street and almost ran into the car in front of me because I saw a fly outfit in a boutique window. This is definitely a problem. Being in love with all things fashionable can be a burden on your wallet so I've decided to become a "thrift-er" (thrift store shopper). Now, I know some of you may think that wearing someone else's used items is not something that you're accustom to (I use to feel the same way). However, there are a lot of thrift stores that are set up like boutiques, sale very trendy items, and that don't have that normal thrift store smell. Here are a few that I've checked out recently: Brown Elephant 5404 N Clark Street, The Daisy Shop 67 E. Oak Street 6th floor, and Clothes Optional 2918 N Clark Street. The best thing about these shops is that they carry some plus size clothing (Yay) and you can mix and match pieces to create several different outfits. Let's take our love for fashion to a higher level and save some money at the same time. Fashion and saving, what a combination?

Fashionable Curvy Clothing at Walmart? OMG!

Have you ever walked into Walmart and noticed that their plus size selection is not that fashionable? Well, I have. I've found that Target (their leading competitor) has a plethora of different pieces that will add flare to a wardrobe.

But wait! Walmart has teamed up with one of the most fashionable mamma's in the industry, Ms. Tina Knowles (Beyonce and Solange's mom). Tina Knowles says that the line was inspired by "the forgotten woman". She also noted that a few of Beyonce's back up dancers are considered "plus size" and it can be challenging to find fashionable pieces for them as well. The new line debuted at Walmart stores on the 1st of this month and is affectionately called 'Miss Tina'. Each piece is under $20 each and they give you range so that you can mix and match pieces to create a fierce ensemble. Check out some of the pieces below and the video of a 'Miss Tina' photo shoot. So come on curvy girl's lets go on a shopping spree at Walmart today...
